In the Washington Post this am there is an article about Mongomery County unplugging a $4 million computer system. This is more than a High Tech disaster, it is an education disaster as these funds could have paid for more teachers which is real education.Again this was praised and promoted and of course it just crashed. I call it the CARTON SYNDROME-most educators dont know how to even get these machines out of their cartons .let alone use them as teaching tools. But they offer the promise, the future. We need more planning and less hype. Michael Brody M.D. AACAP
