I think the real question is whether laptops increase or limit the number of resources available. I think it's quite premature to dispose of textbooks and suppose that all reading and learning can occur electronically. Textbooks certainly have not outlived their usefulness. Who wants to spend a log time reading a screen. Computers are great for locating source information, but for digesting and pondering, printed text is still extremely useful.
