Well, that is exactly what is happening to me; I do not have any more space in my book-shelf to store all my textbooks. A laptop, would surely make my life and my book-shelf's more pleasant. I would love to have a laptop and all the necessary programs to take to school and do my studies.

I think many textbooks waste spece (both on the shelf and within the book) and that one of Dr Chritie's contributions is that he's got a lot of people debating the basic value of testbooks. There may be a lot of better ways to do the job: smaller lighter volumes for subjects with stable data bases. A comlination of books, booklets and other media in other courses. The drawbacks to laptops are staed elsewhere (cost... short half life... difficulty viewing for extended reading, etc.), but they (or other computers) will have some valid roles in K-12... we just have to determine the right mix based on evidence, not promises of cure-alls.
