Mr. R. is right. The real question and the test of our wisdom is using the best technologies (and books are a technology, too) in the right combination. Use of electronic formats will continue to increase--sometimes because it's the best solution and sometimes because it's "sexier". But learners still need both books and real face-to-face connections with teachers.
