Sir, The main point that I think that most adults miss in this point is weight. Many higher level classes require 500 sheets of paper /class to be carried at one time. This is on top of text books. If you have not been to school in a while you may have forgotten how heavy paper is. I believe it to be stunting growth of students. As on I can say that my backpack has caused back problems. Laptops are quite a bit lighter. Now I should not say that computers completley replace paper, as computers will not be able to be read in 10000 years time, if history is to repeat. However in the K-12 grades, weight is the main issue, not posterity. Steve G. 11th Grade Student
