Subject: A Matter of Time

> I think the debate is moot. No one will ever abandon computers in favor of textbooks, but the opposite is certain to happen. We're already seeing demands from parents in our school for CD-ROM versions of textbooks.

It may be a matter of time... but that does not mean it's a matter of now.
As the technology matures and improves... and as the price drops... there may come a point when ink on paper technology is ripe for replacement. At that time most people will also have gotten over the "gee whiz, computer as panacea" fever that we see too much of now.
