Safe & Smart: A Discussion of Children’s Internet Use “Safe & Smart: Research and Guidelines for Children’s Use of the Internet” is the result of telephone interviews with over 1700 parents and their children about young people’s access to and use of the Internet. Although educators, parents and policymakers have been discussing the topic of children and computers for several years, this forum presented opportunities to respond to this new research and to read what others had to say.
