CUBE Annual Award for Urban Education Excellence

Mesquite Independent School District wins the 2011 CUBE Annual Award for Urban School Board Excellence.

The National School Boards Association’s Council of Urban Boards of Education (CUBE)  announced that the Mesquite Independent School District in Texas had been selected as the 2011 winner for CUBE’s Annual Award for Urban School Board Excellence. This prestigious award honors urban school districts that demonstrate progress in educating children and act as role models for excellence in school board governance.

The winning district was announced on Oct. 8, 2011, during the CUBE Annual Conference, held this year in New Orleans, LA.
